New audiobooks and more!
Plus convention buzz at Left Coast Crime and a brand spanking new mystery anthology from Thalia Press
Firstly, an update on the call for volunteer chefs for the upcoming Bennett Sisters French Cookbook update! Many, many thanks to those of you reached out and chose a special dish to prepare and share. It looks like the updated cookbook will have at least twenty more recipes, doubling its size! Look for it in late summer.
Big news is that ‘A Filthy Rich Affair’ is now out in audio!
It is available on my website today, and soon on Audible and many other outlets. Once again read by the narrator of most of the Bennett Sisters mysteries, the wonderful Denice Stradling.
Another new audiobook is last year’s mystery anthology set in Yellowstone National Park: DEADLY YELLOWSTONE.

Our team of authors has been invited back to Yellowstone this summer! If you’re in the area on either side of the 4th of July you may find us in the lobby of Old Faithful Inn again, our favorite spot! Last year was such a treat, meeting readers from all over the world, cheering on teen readers, chatting with moms and dads and grandparents, talking up the wonders of this great national park. Stop by!
San Francisco was the setting for last week’s convention, Left Coast Crime, a gathering of readers and writers.
Not all were from the west coast of the US but a substantial percentage were! My husband came with me and we played hooky a lot, eating our way around the city and visiting art museums (caught the last day of the Morisot/Manet exhibit) and the odd tourist spot. Here are some pix:

I spouted off about myself, as one does, on a panel called ‘Across the Pond.’ I was subbed in at the last minute and the other writers all wrote about England! As you might guess from the title. But we had fun. Nicholas George writes mysteries inspired by his hikes on the many rambling trails in England and Marty Wingate writes garden, historical, and other cozy mysteries. Both true Anglophiles! Thanks to Katherine Glover for moderating.
Nick and I exchanged broken ankle stories and bonded over our love of hiking through foreign countries despite the pitfalls!
This week brings a new mystery anthology from Thalia Press, the small press run by Katy Munger and yours truly.
This one is inspired by history, from the medieval past through various wartimes and up to the Vietnam era. Thirteen mysterious tales, including one by me! Katy did the heavy lifting with her amazing red pencil! Many, many submissions for this anthology so you know there are some really good stories here. As the description says so aptly:
No matter what life throws at you, or how much the world changes, human nature has been remarkably consistent throughout the centuries. Driven by love, hate, greed, envy, and, sometimes, completely unfathomable motives, people can surprise you, appall you, and inspire you. That's why historical mysteries are so popular. You can indulge your curiosity about human nature while still escaping the reality of modern life.
And who doesn’t need an escape at the moment?!
Preorder now for release on Tuesday, March 10.
Don’t forget to set your clocks forward on Sunday! It’s later than you think!
Happy reading!

Glad you had a good time
